ANGOLA 2010 AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS


NIGERIA NAMES SQUAD

After what was a locked down warm up match with the Chipolo polo of Zambia the eagles will jet into Benquela , Angola on Friday to try for another overdue African championship win.  Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) spokesman Ademola Olajire told radio africa1 in Durban that a 23-man squad was selected earlier in the week 
"The full squad has since been ratified by the Confederation of African Football" The not so shocking suprise inclussion is the listing of the explosive striker Obafemi Martins who  plays for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga. Martins recently had surgery on a shin injury and his availability had been  in doubt.The team doctors certified him fit.

The Super Eagles will play  defending champions Egypt on 12 January before taking on Benin on the 16th and then Mozambique on the 20th.
