Hard fighting Team Nigeria came from behind to win 2-1
A LESSON FOR SUPER EAGLES ON GALLANTRY

Nigeria (represented by Search and Groom –youth for development centre) fought from behind to secure maximum points on the opening day of proceedings at the “Football for Hope” Festival 2010.
Playing against Grassrootsoccer (Zimbabwe, Zambia & South South Africa) in Group A, the team lost possession deep in the half of their opponent and a counter attack resulted in the lone goal for the team from Southern Africa.
Trailing one-nil and with less than three minutes to play, substitute Emmanuel Egege came from the bench to level score after a solo run beating four players on the way.
The capacity crowd at the specially constructed street soccer stadium with artificial turf went wild with excitement after Kehinde Akinwande hit the roof of the net with a minute to spare to end score at 2 – 1.
Goalkeeper Ebenezer Aderemi had started the build up from the rear and Egege Emmanuel shrugged off two opponents, with only the goalkeeper to beat, he chose to pass on the ball to Kehinde Akinwande and she hit a rising shot for a spectacular goal.

With this result, Nigeria made three points from the game and another one point for fairplay on the pitch.

Hosts South Africa (Team Alexandria) lost the opening game by two goals to nil to Uruguay.

Meanwhile, action resume On Monday July 5, with Nigeria playing two games with the first match against TEAM USA at 11:50 (local time) the game with FOOTBALL UNITED (Australia) will hold at 15:00 (local time).

Do you want a foreign PRESIDENT? SAY NO TO A FORIEGN COACH

NATIONAL AWARD FOR AMODU ?

All the bookmakers are confused. How did Nigeria qualify? Baturanchi. Football is not mathematics and if it were, who can beat the almighty at the almighty formula. What is the almighty formula? It is divine. What are you saying .It is the nature and ability of God to be God? His capacity to alter, automate and color his nationality and to favor he whom he pleases and believe me Nigeria is chosen and beloved of GOD? More so God speaks wazobia and is indeed a Nigerian. I shall leave the rest for philosophers to philosophize. Nigeria's qualification for the 2010 world cup in South Africa is an act of God or simply put divine intervention. THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN OPPORTUNITY MEETS PREPARATION.

Now, those bloodhounds waiting for Amodu's flesh and Kanu Nwankwos' blood at the pre advertised inquest and witch catching exercise. I HAVE BAD NEWS FOR YOU.THERE WILL BE NONE.GOD GAVE US THIS TICKET AND WE MUST LISTEN TO HIM. The message is TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED AND DO MY PROPHET NO HARM.AGAIN I SAY LEAVE AMODU ALONE.CHALLENGE HIM.GIVE HIM THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO DO HIS JOB .NIGERIA CAN ONLY WIN THE WORLD CUP IN 2010 ONLY BY PLAYING NIGERIAN SOCCER. NFF DO NOT ROCK THE BOAT. All those emotional blow outs and fuse cuts during the world cup qualifiers must be swept aside. We must now clean the slate.

Those clamoring for a foreign coach obviously do not understand what makes us Nigerians more so it has never worked for Nigeria it will not work QED. I was in France in 1998: Bora Milosevic was a terrible waste of taxpayer’s money. He simply did not understand the Nigerian factor. Do you know why we tell you "I dey come oh “just before jumping into a car and zoom off and then expect you to understand…ah ha! I am not here to lecture on global culture or diversity but to speak truth to power. Mr. President anybody telling you about a foreign coach ask him if he would also like a foreign President, a dad from Germany or a mom from Brazil. Nigerians are recognized globally as competent, strong and reliable. All these akara dealers parading as foreign coaches, how many of them have the pedigree, the experience and qualification as AMODU SHUIABU. For the uninitiated Shuaibu is one of the most experienced and successful soccer national team coaches in the history of mankind. The statistics will shock you .He simply does not loose matches. Add the fact that he has the mental and intellectual capacity to coach the national team of a country where every Tom Dick and Harry is an arm chair coach even so we must learn from experience. Please do not ‘Milosevic’ this team as you did in France 98 where spewed Phillip Troussier had a better run than Bora his replacement? Do not ’Onigbinderize ' this squad where bad blood from this demonic exercise of swapping coaches before the world cup tagged Nigeria dead on arrival. Did God not punish Togo for Keshi's sake? We must listen to God to win this world cup.

Finally, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAKE AMODUS WC TICKET AND GIVE IT TO ANOTHER MAD MAN WHITE BLACK OR GREEN. How do you measure performance, you said get us a world cup ticket, you got it .What did Amodu not do for you. Okay you are one of those clowns that expected Nigeria 7, the other country yet to score. Abeg wake up, there are no more minnows in this business. Across the pond Maradona and Argentina lost crawled on all fours, losing matches including a 6-1 collapse in Bolivia before finding a ticket but the man is still coach of Argentina, Why? He still delivered the goods .He got them what they wanted a ticket to South Africa. If the Super eagles had lost 6-1 to any team in her group during the crucial world cup qualifiers Shuibu Amodu and his players would have been arraigned before the Nigerian Senate as traitors ,Paraded before aggrieved fans who will shout “hang them high”, tried in some kangaroo court and jailed for life for high treason. Nigeria is not an easy team to coach.

The nations cup is the next bus stop allow the man to concentrate and focus .stop all this foreign coach foolishness, be grateful for once and show appreciation President Yaradua, you are part of all this mess, What part of what has happened you don’t understand, Please if none of those of those cassava eating friends of mine will bring to your notice a man worthy of National honors I will. Your Excellency May I present to you Citizen Shuaibu Amodu conqueror of Tunisia, Mozambique and Kenya. Qualifier of Nigeria for the most important sporting event that will ever hold on African soil the 2010 FIFA world cup. The gentleman is deserving of the highest national award and decoration of the land. Thank you Sir.

What if Nigeria did not qualify? Oh my god that would have been a total disaster, Hypertension will cripple the nation….ah e for hard oh. The world cup for Nigerians and indeed soccer fans all over would have been like tea without sugar or saccharine.
